“Have spent an amazing 8 days in San Francisco. The cottage was perfect and the sun shone. Really enjoyed ocean beach, Golden Gate Park, Sausalito, Alcatraz, Union Square shopping and numerous museums and galleries. Restaurants were very good, but particularly enjoyed Cliff House and Chez Spencer. We don’t tend to return to places, as the world is a big place with many new cities to visit, but if we ever return to San Francisco, we will stay at the Garden Cottage. Many thanks to you both for everything.

“Just walked “home” to the Cottage for the last night on this visit. What helps me to leave the cottage, and my daughter’s family (Two granddaughters, Hannah, 4 & Abigail, 1 ½, & son-in-law Josh) is having a reservation to be back for 2011 Christmas/Hanukkah. I could stay at several places closer to my family, who moved from Noe Valley to Inner Sunset in Aug 2010, but this too perfect to leave. Convenience be damned! Viva Muni! ”We were delighted the moment we walked up the beautiful path with the leaves and petals embedded in the walkway and the calla lillies welcoming us “home”. Our four year old, Sarah, loved her fold-out bed-it was as comfy as promised! ”How I envy the Bernstein’s, who have stayed here 10 times! This is heaven-the cottage itself, the wonderful garden the neighborhood, the easy access to downtown SF, all perfect. Only problem: who wants to go to downtown SF when you can feel so at home here? While here, I became a grandmother, turned 65 and just learned that a seriously ill friend was out of intensive care.
